In mid-May 2008, the first 10,000 boxes of DIARRAFIN were arrived in Kenya, achieving the first sales. From May 30 to June 1, Kenya Pharmacists Association held its annual meeting in White Sands Beach Resort in Mombasha. About 400 pharmacists attended the meeting, and came from drug administration department, government hospitals, private institutions and pharmaceutical wholesale enterprises. At the meeting, Mr. Feng Wei, the marketing manager of Holley-Cotec, introduced the policy of antidiarrheal drugs and the therapeutic mechanism of DIARRAFIN (montmorillonite) from Holley-Cotec. DIARRAFIN, as a new drug for the treatment of diarrhea in Kenya, has caused great concern from the participants. The marketing team of Holley-Cotec’s East African subsidiary actively participated in the meeting, presented 1-2 packs of samples and product brochure to each of the participants, and displayed Duo-Cotecxin and DIARRAFIN (montmorillonite) products in the exhibition hall. The four-tablet packed Duo-Cotecxin product also met the market demand and was appreciated by the participants.
